Anne is the principal physiotherapist and director of focus on physio.
Anne graduated from the University of Queensland in 1982 and has over 30 years of extensive clinical experience from working in Australia and Europe.
Anne worked in London for 13 years in teaching hospitals and private practice. She completed her postgraduate education in the field of manual manipulative physiotherapy. Her work overseas included undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and examining. Anne also lectured in Europe on orthopaedic physiotherapy. Anne played an active role in the promotion of continuing education for UK physiotherapists within the field of orthopaedics and manual manipulative physiotherapy. Anne held committee positions over many years on the London Orthopaedic and Manipulative Association special interest groups within the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Anne was part of the physiotherapy team in the 1982 and 1986 Commonwealth Games which included swimming, athletics, cycling and wrestling/boxing.
She was an active committee member for 4 years of the Gold Coast branch of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and is a APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist via examination.
Anne has had extensive training and experience in the management of spinal, sports, orthopaedic and pain conditions. Anne is passionate about the rehabilitation of physical movement and function. She believes that exercise is an integral part of maintaining optimal health and a sense of wellness by maintaining reasonable flexibility, strength and stamina.
Anne established focus on physio rooms service over the last 15 years. Her special interests include spinal/orthopaedic rehabilitation, acupuncture for pain management, hydrotherapy, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) rehabilitation, women’s health (lumbopelvic pain, pelvic floor rehabilitation for urinary stress incontinence, bladder urgency and prolapse.) and remedial Pilates.
